The enormous open world is attractive and enticing, but it’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s skill trees that made me a believer in this historical RPG. Rather than providing mild improvements to sword-handling or stamina, the things you learn are traits that change the way your character interacts with the world and the people in it. It all suggests I’ll be creating a person with knowledge and foibles as I play rather than tweaking a sheet of stats.

Everything about this sounds amazing! The linked preview is worth reading in full, but beware, the more you read on, the stronger you'll have to fight against immediately going off and pre-ordering the game on Steam.

Shame I didn't get a chance to participate in its KickStarter campaign. Missed out on the beta too.

Think of it more as a survival type RPG, where you will need to pay even more attention to Henry's health, stamina, energy, and nourishment, including his location/whereabouts. Everything matters in the Hardcore Mode, so now would be a fantastic time to start a new playthrough!
