We are very happy to announce a new difficulty level, which will be released for all HITMAN players as part of the free 'January Update' with the disc launch on January 31st.

Professional Difficulty Level offers extended replayability, new game features, a separate mastery track with unique rewards, tweaked game mechanics and new AI behaviour that combine to create an entirely new experience for all players, whether they’re looking to test themselves in a more challenging environment or earn bragging rights at the top of the leaderboards, which are now separated between difficulty levels.

Professional Difficulty Level can be selected for all Story missions in Season One, excluding the Prologue. To unlock this new difficulty level, you will need to reach Mastery Level 20 for each location. As a clear example; reaching Mastery Level 20 on Paris will unlock Professional Difficulty Level on Paris. Our ‘live content’ such as Elusive Targets and Escalation Contracts will only be available on the default difficulty level, which we are now calling Normal Difficulty Level.

Full release notes for the January Update will be published before the update arrives on January 31st, the same date that HITMAN - The Complete First Season is available on disc.

I think people should change their mindset for the Pro mode, I feel they are almost entitled to SA ratings (as they were seen as the minimum rating for veteran players) and when they see it's much harder now, they feel cheated.

In Pro just finishing the level should be hard, getting a 'Professional' rating should be much harder, SA should be done after spending a good number of hours experimenting and trying, and SA/SO could be reserved to the true hardcore.

Kiss your SA/SO goodbye.

I'm eager to try the mode out for myself, to see if it really is as "artificial" as is claimed by the SA/SO addicts, or if it's the real deal.

Do you want to see for yourself how thoroughly a tutorial, i. e. the mechanical following of directions, can sap the joy out of an otherwise delightful experience? Hitman 2 begins with the same opening missions as 2016, but this time you're given mission markers to direct your every action. So much for a "final test".

Snow Festival is the new seasonal event in Hokkaido, available through February 12. The last seasonal event in Paris was a bore, as was the latest elusive target in Santa Fortuna, and it doesn't look this will be any different.

HITMAN 3 is the best place to play every game in the World of Assassination trilogy. All locations from HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2 can be imported and played within HITMAN 3 at no additional cost for existing owners – plus progression from HITMAN 2 is directly carried over into HITMAN 3 at launch.

HITMAN 3 Access Pass on PC
We’ve done everything possible to make this process smooth and player-friendly. However, due to various circumstances out of our control, we want to acknowledge that the process is different to our initial plans for PC players. We also want to share some of the initiatives we’ve set-up to make sure that PC players the chance to keep enjoying the benefits of the World of Assassination.

• The HITMAN 1 GOTY Access Pass will be available to claim in the first 10 days after launch for anyone who purchases (or has pre-ordered) any edition of HITMAN 3 on Epic Games Store.
• Owners of HITMAN 1 on EGS (including all players who claimed it when it was available for free in August) will get a free upgrade to the HITMAN 1 GOTY Access Pass at any time after purchasing HITMAN 3.
• The HITMAN 2 Standard Access Pass and HITMAN 2 Gold Access Pass will be 80% off for 14 days after the launch of HITMAN 3 on Epic Games Store and will continue to be discounted regularly.

Our hope is that these initiatives help to ensure all HITMAN 3 PC players can able to enjoy the new game with full access to HITMAN 1 and their progression carried over as a minimum.
