Couldn't stomach this game for longer than twenty minutes. Maybe it gets better, but I don't have the patience, or the desire. It's impossible to care about these zoomed-out cartoons, or what they're talking about. Sacrificing the cinematic camera only makes matters worse. The entire game looks as if it's taking place within an ant-farm. Not even a visual novel would make that kind of mistake. And since Oxenfree really isn't that much more than a visual novel, might as well play one of those instead. If you were to decide on Danganronpa, you'd even get a real-time dialog system too! Not to mention a good time.
