Fine Tuning
My father loves music. And is something of an audiophile. He has a massive collection of music. And what he does that I found so fascinating is he sits down with a recording, listens to it very intently, and adjusts the settings on his audio equipment to best match the music being played. He then writes that information down in the case, so that the next time he pulls it from his library, he'll immediately know the ideal settings at which to configure his sound system. Every time. It wasn't just a matter of putting on a CD, sitting back, and that was it. It was about meticulously recreating as closely as possible an in-home orchestral experience.
