After War Gundam X, the oft-overlooked third in the ’90s trio of alternate universe Gundam series, is now streaming exclusively on Tubi. Unlike its beloved brethren, Gundam X never aired on Toonami, and it wasn’t until 2016 that RightStuf published the DVDs here in the West. But despite purchasing them on release, I still haven’t watched any of Gundam X. Perhaps if I can convince myself that the streaming convenience outweighs the splendor of watching the DVDs on my big, old CRT, I’ll start it up that much sooner. And to all you other physical media enthusiasts out there, this may also be a good time to consider scooping up the 2020 Bluray collection, which is becoming more difficult to track down.
And as a reminder, we are still in the middle of the GWX 30 year anniversary, which will be continuing through to 2026. That means there’s still plenty of time to catch up on Gundam X before its own festivities commence.
